As we approach the end of 2012, I am writing to thank you for your continuing interest in the Old Coast Guard Station and ask you to contribute to the museum during this, our thirty-first year. As you may know, we depend upon a variety of income sources such as admissions, grants, gift shop sales and membership to fund the museum’s operations, programs and conservation endeavors. As these funds provide only a portion of our needed resources, we are dependent upon additional contributions to ensure the museum’s ability to fulfill our mission of honoring and preserving our maritime heritage.

Thanks to the generosity of our patrons, 2012 was a very successful year for the museum. Highlights include:

Reaching 5000 individuals with our educational tours and programs!
Presenting a new exhibit featuring the Revenue Cutter Service During the War of 1812 and concert with community partner, The Tidewater Winds!
Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Surfing in Virginia Beach with an exhibit and Family Fun Day!
